You Or Your Surviving Spouse May Be Eligible For A Tax-free Pension

To qualify medically, a War-Time Veteran must need the assistance of another person to perform daily activities, such as bathing, eating, dressing, or toileting. Being blind or in an Assisted Living Facility may also qualify.

Asset and income qualification should be met prior to applying for benefits, as improper planning may cause an application to be denied. Denial may result in a one year wait requirement prior to reconsideration. We provide -

  • A FREE evaluation of current eligibility and pre-planning options
  • Required forms with detailed instructions for completion
  • Review of completed forms and personal delivery to VA with date-stamped proof of submission
  • Follow up with VA after submission of application
The VA likes to see fully completed forms submitted by a VA Accredited Claims Agent. A single entry mistake may trigger a question from the VA that may cause a serious delay in the award. Our current turnaround time is 30-40 days.

The first step will be to file VA Form 21-0966 (Notice of Intention to File) on your behalf. This will establish a filing date from which benefits may be payable. Once a date is set, you will have 12 months to submit qualifying forms. The VA will assign a filing date of the first day of the next month after they receive your form. Each month's delay in setting an informal filing date will cost a month's pension, as benefits are payable in arrears once a claim is approved. Give us a call today and request a FREE consultation.

A recent audit of the VA by the GAO (the investigative arm of Congress) found that information provided through the VSO network and the VA's 800 number system was "totally, minimally, partially, or mostly incorrect" a staggering 80% of the time.

As a result, many duly qualified applicants are told by the VSO/VA network that they are not qualified to receive benefits, when the opposite is true.

A common theme with responses was that they were "rude, dismissive, unprofessional, and unhelpful" behavior on the part of those providing information.

We will be pleased to provide accurate, professional and courteous answers to your questions. Call us TODAY at 919-833-7580.
